The   Augustiner Lagerbier Hell   is a delicious, easy-drinking pale beer that is characterized by its gentle maltiness and fine hop aromas. It was originally developed at the end of the 19th century as a response to the popular Bohemian Pilsner and quickly established itself as the most popular lager in Munich and Bavaria. The brewery's own bottom-fermenting pure yeast and the traditional storage in wooden barrels give this golden lager a particularly balanced, round note.

Aroma and taste:
It has a brilliant, straw-yellow color with a silky white foam. The aroma is dry and malty, with fresh grainy notes of cornflakes and honey, complemented by grassy and floral accents. The taste is pleasantly sweet and grainy, with a harmonious malt base and a mild hop spiciness, which is perfectly rounded off by the lively effervescence.

Ingredients:
Water,   Barley malt , hops (Hallertau), Pilsner malt, light caramel malt from our own malthouse

Alcohol content:   5.2% vol.
Original gravity:   11.5 °Plato
Bitterness Units (IBU):   22

Food recommendation:
Perfect with Bavarian dishes such as roast pork with sauerkraut, white sausage, pretzels, beer goulash or hearty meat dishes such as roast pork and meatloaf. Also ideal as a refreshing thirst quencher after work.
